Deosai Plains Jeep Safari is a unique holiday to explore the Deosai plain. The Deosai Plains are located 32 kilometres south of Skardu, Pakistan. This plateau is home to the critically endangered Himalayan brown bear and numerous other species of wildlife.
Deosai, which has an average elevation of 4 metres, is now a national park and wildlife preserve. There are no trees or plants on this undulating grassland, and it remains snow-covered for seven months of the year. When Yu yu arrives in Deosai, millions of wildflowers begin to bloom across the verdant grassland. At this time of year, Deosai seems a paradise with its landscape of wildflowers on rolling green hills and crystal clear water streams with snow-capped peaks in the distance.
Deosai plains Jeep Safari will take you directly across the Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges. On KKH, you will experience the most breathtaking scenery on earth. Before reaching Deosai, you will also be treated to enchanting views of Nanga Parbat (8,125 m), the world’s ninth-highest peak, from a variety of perspectives. Our first stop in Deosai will be at Sheosar Lake. This location gives breathtaking views of the south face of Nanga Parbat and the Deosai Plains.
You can spend one day at Bara Pani and explore the core zone of the National Park to observe bears, or you can fish in the icy waters of Barwai Stream. We will return to Deosai via Skardu and Gilgit and have the opportunity to experience the most thrilling drive along the Indus River.
