Ibex Trophy Hunting Safari Pakistan
Ibex Trophy Hunting is popular adventure safari in Pakistan. Pakistan is home to three of worlds longest mountain ranges. These mountain ranges are the Himalayas, Karakoram and the Hindukush. All these mighty mountain ranges are located in the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan.
The Gilgit Baltistan include the world’s most harsh mountainous topography. Located at the intersection of the world’s three largest mountain ranges (the Himalayas, the Hindu Kush, and the Karakorams), this region is larger than both Austria and Switzerland combined.
Pakistan’s Gilgit Baltistan contains the most rugged mountainous terrain in the world.
Located at the intersection of the world’s three largest mountain ranges (the Himalayas, the Hindu Kush, and the Karakorams), this region is larger than both Austria and Switzerland combined.
Nestled between Afghanistan, China, Ladakh, and India, this is the world’s most isolated and inaccessible alpine region.
With more than 460 mountains higher than 6,000 metres and five of the world’s fourteen highest peaks, this rough region is a haven for some of the rarest and most coveted species of animals. The number of species discovered in this expansive wilderness is considerable.
Several kinds of ibex are found throughout this huge alpine range. As a result of the stringent hunting regulations, some of these animals have grown to colossal proportions, providing prizes for the courageous hunters who travel into this vast wilderness.
Any hunt in this isolated region must be well planned. Licences from municipal and federal authorities, specific import and re-export licences for the firearms, as well as permits to carry and use the firearms within the country, are necessary. These typically require several weeks to process and must be obtained before to the arrival of the hunting party.
Due to the absence of food and shelter, the paucity of fuel, and the stringent regulation of forestry, everything must be bought in advance and delivered by porters over treacherous mountain trails to the base camp. This necessitates competent planning for the hunting journey.
Professionals pick the camping gear, tents, mess tent, utensils, kitchen, food, and fuel to resist extreme climatic conditions and last the duration of the hunting expedition.
Ibex Trophy Hunting Safari is accompanied by experienced mountain guides, hunting scouts, cooks, and porters to ensure a smooth and efficient operation and optimum comfort for the hunters, even in the most isolated regions.
From the base camp, hunting scouts and mountain guides assist hunters in planning their hunts and establishing advance camps closer to the ibex habitat, from which trophy animals are scouted and stalked.
Due to the roughness of the terrain and the isolation of this region, huters must be in peak condition for ibex hunting. In the event of an accident or illness, however, it is possible to secure helicopters for the evacuation of casualties.
All this demands advance prepration. The organisers of the hunt must be aware that roughly twenty hunting permits are awarded annually for the entirety of Northern Pakistan. In order to get the necessary number of permits in advance, the organisers must contact us well in advance with information about their event.
Ibex can be found in small, dispersed groups over the entirety of the Northern Areas of Pakistan. Ibex hunting is only permitted in locations where community-based trophy hunting projects have been established.
SEASON AND WEATHER FOR HUNTING: Hunting is only permitted from November 15 to March 31.
Permission for trophy hunting includes a number of fees and a donation to the local community responsible for maintaining the wildlife reserve. The current fees for permission to hunt ibex in northern Pakistan are as follows:
Cost of Permits Obtaining a hunting permit from the government costs $4,000 per ibex at this time. This permit allows one hunter to shoot one ibex during the winter hunting season, which begins every year on November 15th. This sum is deposited before to the hunter’s arrival in the nation so that all paperwork can be completed beforehand.
This price is neither refundable nor transferable in the event of a failed kill.
Local Community Fee: The local community in charge of the hunting area is permitted to impose a fee ranging from $4,000 to $6,000 per hunter for entry to their hunting grounds.
Local Scouts for Hunting:
Local communities supply scouts to lead the hunting party to the various animals in the area. They have an in-depth understanding of the region and the greatest hunting site at that time. Gondogoro Travel carefully selects these scouts based on their past success. The hunter must give each scout and guide with a complete outdoor kit or pay them an adequate amount in lieu of the kit.

Each year, only 20 hunting permits are available in Pakistan; therefore, you are encouraged to organise your hunt as early as possible in order to get permits and avoid disappointment. Our Ibex Trophy Hunting Safari start and finish in Islamabad.
