Passu Peak 7284m Expedition
Passu mountain is situated near Batura Muztagh (Muchutsil) Passu Saddle. Passu summit 7284m/23897ft. In 1978, the Japan/Pakistan (joint expedition) National Defence academy alpine club expedition climbed Passu peak for the first time. The expedition was led by Captain Chitoshi Ando of Japan and Major Manzoor Hussain of Pakistan. There is an accessible route from Islamabad, Gilgit, Hunza, and Borit Lake. From here, we begin our trek to Passughar, Luzdar, Patundas Pass (4,200m), and Passu Peak BC. This is a great campsite with a tiny lake.
